On Friday, May 15th, Wheatland 7th and 8th students participated in an incredible day of Literary Connections. From science and sports to agriculture and art, students made powerful connections between their reading and real-life experiences, including an art workshop, an electricity lab, a STEM Forward weather workshop, an agricultural experience with Kaskin Family Farm , an escape room with Mobile Puzzle Sleuths, and an interactive session on wheelchair basketball with Paralympic Gold Medalist Jake Williams and UW-Whitewater players!
In the afternoon, students headed to KD Park for survival games, putting teamwork and outdoor skills to the test with shelter building, fishing, water filtration, team-building challenges, and an epic game of predator vs. prey.
A huge thank you to all of our amazing presenters, teachers, staff, and volunteers who made this unforgettable day of learning possible!
