Thank you to the Wheatland Fire Department for making Fire Prevention Week so memorable for our students! 4K and Kindergarten loved touring the station, and 1st and 2nd graders had a blast with the firefighters who visited the school! Our students loved learning all about fire safety, seeing the heavy gear the firefighters wear, and checking out the awesome fire truck.
A huge thank you to our firefighters for keeping us safe and teaching us how to be fire-smart!

Our 7th & 8th graders put their creativity, teamwork, and engineering skills to the test in the annual Cardboard Boat Challenge on Friday! Some boats cruised, some sank, and some…decided that staying put was the safest option! 😄

This is not your average summer school in July! Students are catching fish, coding robots, and creating masterpieces. We're proving every day that learning doesn't take a vacation at Wheatland; it's the highlight of our summer!

To celebrate the United States Semiquincentennial, our talented students created this collaborative American flag installation near the end of the school year. Every student designed their own individual square to include a symbol of our country, which was then pieced together by Mrs. Samuel to form the American flag. It’s a powerful visual reminder that a strong community is built from unique individuals working together.
A huge thank you to our art teacher and every student who poured their heart into a square! You can check out this project on display in the hallway near the main office.

Summer School 2026 is off to an incredible start! Students have been diving headfirst into learning, creating, and exploring every single day. Whether we're solidifying our math skills, exploring track & field events, or getting tech-savvy by creating stop-motion animation and high-tech 3D printed projects, we've been busy blending art and science in the coolest ways. Students have been reading books together, building community, and proving that some of the best learning experiences happen when we’re having fun and learning through play.
This will definitely be a summer to remember! A big thank you to our summer school staff for engineering these exciting opportunities for our students!
