The Wheatland School PTO has successfully raised funds to purchase a book vending machine for Wheatland Center School. Students will be recognized for positive behaviors by staff members and will be given tokens to redeem books.
This unique and exciting concept has already created a buzz within the school walls. One of the goals behind the vending machine is to instill and reinforce a love for reading. It will also serve as a constant visual reminder of how important reading is for all students. In addition, it will allow students to select and interact with their very own copy of their favorite book. Lastly, the vending machine displays the Wheatland school brand to all those that visit the building.
Through various sponsored fundraising events, the PTO was able to bring this exciting project to fruition. In recent years, PTO led fundraising efforts have created many opportunities to engage and enrich the lives of Wheatland students. They continue to be an integral school partner by supporting the school’s mission.
