This is my 6th year as the reading resource teacher. I work with students in Kindergarten through 8th grade who require intervention in reading. Reading is an important part of my life and I still remember the summer I fell in love with books. I hope to pass that love of books on to my students.
I have lived in the Burlington area for over 20 years, so Wheatland is a very special place for me. I have been a teacher at Wheatland for 16 years. For the first 11 years I was a special education teacher working with students ranging in age from Kindergarten through 8th grade.
I am a graduate of UW-Whitewater and hold a Bachelor of Science in Education with a specialty in Learning Disabilities, a Master's Degree in Special Education, and a Master's Degree in Professional Development with an emphasis in Reading.
My husband and I have three sons and four grandchildren. We are huge fans of Wisconsin sports and love to travel, camp, and spend time with family and friends on the Wisconsin River.
I look forward to meeting you and getting to know your child. My goal for my students is to increase their literacy skills to a level that will help them to be academically successful and to put them on the path to becoming lifelong readers.
