Principal/ Director of Teaching & Learning
Welcome to the Wheatland Center School, home of the Warhawks. I am so excited to serve as principal for the families and students of Wheatland. Our school family is committed to cultivating great citizens, having a clear purpose in our decision making, and providing great academics to our students.
I graduated in 2002 from Northern Illinois University with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and earned my master’s degree from Cardinal Stritch University in Educational Leadership in 2005. I currently reside in East Troy with my wife, Sarah, and my two girls, Isabel (5th grade) and Addison (1st grade). I am an avid Chicago sports fan and in my spare time, I love to get out on the links and play golf.
The 2018-2019 school year is my 17th year in education. I began my career as an 8th grade and 5th grade teacher within the Burlington Area School District. In 2010, I became an administrator within the Lake Geneva J1 School District. During my six years in Lake Geneva I had various roles including being an assistant principal and principal at Lake Geneva Middle School, as well as principal at Eastview Elementary School.
In the spring of 2016, the Wheatland principal position opened and I jumped at the opportunity to join a great school community with one of the best reputations in the area. This is now my second year as principal at Wheatland and I couldn’t be more proud to be one of the leaders of this great organization. We are truly on a “Flight to Excellence” and I’m so happy to work alongside such a great team of students, parents, staff and community members that will continue to make Wheatland a great place to grow and learn.
