This will be my third full year of teaching and I am extremely excited to continue my career at WCS! My role at WCS changes as student needs change. This year I will be teaching 6th grade math as well as supporting students in 5th and 6th grade inside their classroom.
Many may know me as Miss Geilfuss or Miss G and I am officially Mrs. Hardy as of August! We live with our dog, Gordon and enjoy spending time outdoors and adventuring with him as much as possible. You may catch me after school running the trails or streets of Wheatland and helping out with both Cross Country and Track & Field.
I am originally from the area and attended the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh where I obtained my degree in education. My educational philosophy is that every student has the ability to reach their greatest potential - they just have to find it. I hope to be a mentor for my students to help them reach that greatest potential. All students have different needs, and it is my goal support every student based on those needs and learner preferences.
Each and every student that walks through my door will be respected and held to high expectations. We will work together on shared goals to develop our skills as students and citizens of the community. With the help of all students, I will provide a safe learning environment for all learners. Every student's ideas, questions, and feelings will be respected, recognized, and appreciated. It is my goal for my students to grow and develop as individuals, learners, mathematicians, and citizens. Together, we will make this a successful year!
