The girls took top honors as a team and, together, placed 1st place overall. The boys showed everyone how powerful their team is with a 2nd place overall finish.

Sarah Verzal, an eighth-grade student at Wheatland Center School, has earned a National Gold Medal in the 2013 Scholastic Art & Writing Awards for her poem “Variable”. She will be honored onstage for this achievement at the world-famous Carnegie Hall in New York City on May 31.
Students have received awards and recognition in the Southeast Wisconsin Regional Scholastic Art & Writing Awards. The following students will be honored at an awards ceremony in Kenosha on March 23:
Wheatland was selected by the state PLTW leadership committee to share their good work at the state WASB 2013 convention. Their selection was based on having a top K-8 STEM education program in the state.
