Position: School Bus Driver

Hourly Rate: from $27.50 - $29.75 per route

Hourly Description: AM, PM and field trip routes Hours Per Week: Varies


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

QUALIFICATIONS:

   ●      Possess or able to obtain a Wisconsin CDL with “S” endorsement Driver’s License

   ●      Ability to operate a school bus and transport school children safely and efficiently

   ●      Possess or able to obtain a first aid, CPR and AED training

   ●      Must be honest, respectful, trustworthy and reliable

 REQUIREMENTS/Responsibilities:

 1.     Perform daily safety, pre-trip and post-trip checks and record in the Inspection Report Book.

 2.    Operate the school bus in a safe, responsible, and efficient way according to all relevant legislation, policies and procedures.

 3.    Ability to deal with children including those with special needs in a professional manner.

 4.     Maintain order and discipline on the school bus.

 5.     Pick up and deliver students as per a set schedule.  Discuss any changes in your route with the Transportation Director prior to being implemented.

 6.     Maintain a clean and fueled bus

 7.     Physical requirements: Must be able to sit long periods of time and be able to lift, carry, push and pull up to 50 pounds

The Wheatland J1 School District is a pre K-8 school district with approximately 75 employees, and 500 students. The district covers over 30 square miles and incorporates 4 municipalities. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


The Wheatland School District is seeking a dynamic and energetic middle school level teacher who will work collaboratively with middle school grade levels and departmental colleagues.  The ideal candidate will work well in a team environment and be able to develop positive relationships with students, parents, colleagues, and administrators.  Ideal candidate would have experience in teaching reading and writing within the “workshop model” and/or have a strong passion for teaching mathematics.  A background or interest in learning more about a “Personalized Learning” approach to instruction is a plus!


Primary Job Summary:


The teacher is expected to create a safe and welcoming environment that nurtures creativity and innovation which is demonstrated through project based learning. Applicants should have a working understanding of and comfort level with current technology and should be able to embrace emerging technologies. Technology integration within curriculum and instruction is expected.


License/Certification:


1088 = Elementary/Middle Level Education (regular education)
